How about a community program to expose youth to the insides of computers. Just show ‘em the math and see what happens.

1337

Cleaning out a scratch area, I discovered this in a file titled a.c. I enjoy confronting new technologies head on. I am passionate about contemporary and future pervasive computing. I look to create the solutions that will allow the computers to disappear from our desks. I believe that my next step should be towards a position where my broad expertise and leadership skill could be leveraged through a technical team to accomplish ever larger and more complicated goals.

Magic RoR Sandbox?

I wanna write a RoR app that process batch jobs from a shopping cart: the batch job specifies configuration and code and results are delivered as they are created. Can I pass detailed configuration information to and from the sandboxed code? Can the RoR app create and populate enough of a filesystem such that the code could run over a half dozen huge files and then create multiple reports from them. Can the code be Python or C++?

Olympic Opening Ceremony

I don’t remember ever actually being amazed at an opening ceremony for anything before. It was like Mass Games, but sparklier. Unbelievable.

(708) 613-3063

Why doesn’t anyone call?

PBX-in-a-Flash!

The hands-on nature of configuring and placing SIP phones and the linux/DIY attitude of the asterisk/PiaF community satifies my every geek need.

Freezer Being Helpful

Freezer Being Helpful

European Birth Rate

Dear Old German Couple on the Train,

The next time you hear something about the birth rate in Germany declining, please remember that it is your fault. Did you really need to berate the woman with the baby in the stroller because she was taking up too much room on the train? Shouldn’t people with small children be allowed to occasionally block two seats on a mostly empty train?
