100% Uptime

I flashed our router with DD-WRT, re-established all service, and got incoming SIP connections from Vitelity all before my wife woke up this morning.  Am I the only one who takes the responsibility for delivering my loved-ones internet service so seriously?

Vitelity and Asterisk

I think the crap default configuration of our Buffalo Airstation is hindering inbound SIP connections from Vitelity.  Do I risk killing our Internet connection with a hasty DD-WRT flash?

Missing Cuban Bread

I’m starting to think that unless it is 85° Fahrenheit and 95% humid, I will never be able to make a decent loaf of cuban bread. There is also no palmetto in the backyard.

The crumb is too dense and the crust is too thick, why can’t anyone post a recipe with baker’s percentages. Time to start working something out.

Travelling with Hardware

After reading through the draft ACTA Treaty, I have only one question: how can I travel domestically or internationally without compromising the safety of corporate secrets (mah keyz! and codez!).

Somewhere on my harddrive is the invisible imprint of a key pair I generated.  The private half of which decrypts valuable data.  The hard disk might be encrypted, but that just means customs will confiscate the laptop.

If you can’t carry the hardware with you, how can you travel?
